Prehospital Trauma LIFE SUPPORT
Course Objectives :
The objective of this course is to improve the quality of trauma care in the surrounding area and decrease mortality.The PHTLS course focuses on how to identify, manage, and transport trauma patients in the pre-hospital environment while using the highest level of care and giving the patient the greatest chance of survival.
• Identify the mechanism of injury
• Recognize life-threatening injuries
• Relate pathophysiology to injuries
• Assess and manage trauma patients
• Perform appropriate interventions
